Prior to his transformative tenure at Netsmart, Mike Valentine spent 13 years at Cerner Corporation, a leading healthcare technology company. During his time at Cerner, he held progressively responsible positions, culminating in his role as executive vice president and chief operating officer for the last five years. In this capacity, Mike was responsible for overseeing delivery and client relationships across Cerner’s global operations. His tenure at Cerner was marked by significant achievements and innovations. Mike Valentine was the architect of a centralized implementation model that dramatically improved the predictability and timeliness of best practice implementations. He also championed an advanced technology focus, which led to the development of key innovations that expanded the reach and effectiveness of Cerner’s existing solution set. Recognizing the importance of talent development, Mike launched a comprehensive leadership development program within Cerner. Furthermore, he refined client coverage models, enhancing client satisfaction and relationship management. Mike Valentine’s strong academic foundation includes a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Kansas State University.
