Lotus Emira Price Unveiled: Exploring the Cost and Features of the V6 First Edition

Lotus has officially announced the pricing and complete specifications for the highly anticipated Emira V6 First Edition, marking a significant moment for enthusiasts eager to know the cost of this new sports car. Packed with advanced technology, luxurious infotainment, and comfort features, the UK price for the Emira V6 First Edition is confirmed at £75,995. This announcement provides clarity for those keenly following the Emira’s journey and sets the stage for its arrival in the sports car market.

For European customers, the price in Germany has also been revealed at €95,995. Lotus has indicated that pricing for other key international markets, including the USA and China, will be disclosed in the coming weeks, generating further global interest in the Emira. Production of the Emira V6 First Edition is slated to begin in the spring, with the four-cylinder First Edition model expected to follow in the autumn, expanding the Emira range.

Matt Windle, Managing Director of Lotus Cars, emphasized the Emira’s significance, stating, “The Emira is the most accomplished Lotus we’ve ever made. To celebrate and reward our keenest early customers, we want to make the first cars extra special to own. The features have been carefully selected by our design team to make for a truly special and distinct First Edition.” This highlights Lotus’s commitment to delivering an exceptional vehicle and rewarding early adopters with a premium experience.

The Emira represents a new chapter for Lotus, embodying the brand’s transformation while staying true to its core values. As a mid-engine premium sports car, it builds upon the esteemed legacy of the Elise, Exige, and Evora, pushing boundaries in practicality, comfort, and technology. The Emira is constructed on a new lightweight bonded aluminum chassis, a hallmark of Lotus’s engineering DNA, ensuring agility and responsive handling.

At the heart of the Emira V6 First Edition is the celebrated, Lotus-refined 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine, positioned mid-ship to optimize balance and driving dynamics. Producing 400hp, this powerful engine is paired as standard with a precise six-speed manual gearbox, featuring a visually engaging gearchange mechanism and hydraulic power-assisted steering, catering to driving purists. An optional six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift is also available for those preferring automated gear changes.

The Emira V6 First Edition rides on striking 20-inch ultra-lightweight V-spoke forged alloy wheels, diamond-cut for a sophisticated two-tone aesthetic. Customers can also choose silver or gloss black versions at no additional cost, allowing for personalization. Performance is further enhanced by two-piece brake discs with Lotus branded calipers and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ensuring safety and optimal performance.

Buyers of the First Edition can select from six vibrant exterior paint colors: the launch color Seneca Blue, Magma Red, Hethel Yellow, Dark Verdant, Shadow Grey, and Nimbus Grey. Lotus plans to expand the color palette in 2022, offering even more customization options. The exterior is further refined with full LED lighting, a titanium exhaust finisher, heated power-fold door mirrors, and rear parking sensors. The standard Lower Black Pack adds a touch of aggression with gloss black finishes on the front bumper air blades, front splitter, side sills, and rear diffuser.

Inside the Emira V6 First Edition, seven interior color choices are available at no extra cost, including red, black, grey, and tan Nappa leather, and black Alcantara with red, yellow, or grey stitching. Satin chrome trim finishers, white interior mood lighting, and Lotus-branded sill kick plates elevate the cabin’s premium feel.

Comfort and convenience are paramount, with heated seats offering 12-way adjustability and two memory presets for the driver, linked to the door mirrors. Automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless start, and selectable drive modes are all standard, enhancing the driving experience in various conditions.

For in-car entertainment and connectivity, the Emira V6 First Edition features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and satellite navigation (in select markets), along with Bluetooth and USB/12v sockets. A high-fidelity 10-channel/340W premium audio system, developed in collaboration with KEF, including DAB digital radio, ensures exceptional sound quality. All functions are easily controlled through a 10.25-inch centrally mounted touch-screen, complemented by a 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster for the driver.

Further enhancing the Emira’s value proposition, three option packs are included as standard. The Drivers Pack allows customization of the suspension with Tour or Sport options, coupled with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires, or Sport suspension with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for track-focused performance. The Design Pack adds privacy glass, sports pedals, a black Alcantara headliner, and a choice of brake caliper colors. The Convenience Pack adds practical features such as front parking sensors, a rear reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirrors, and a rear luggage storage net.

Optional extras include a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shift and the Black Pack, which further darkens the car’s aesthetic with black finishes on the roof, cantrails, mirror backs, rear Lotus badge, and exhaust finisher.

While the Lotus Emira V6 First Edition price is set at £75,995, Lotus has confirmed that an entry-level Emira, priced from £59,995, will be available in 2023, making the Emira range accessible to a broader audience.
