You’ll need to present the Declarations page from your insurance policy as proof when you first obtain or renew your plates.
But classic auto insurance for these plates isn’t just about ticking a box. It comes with specific usage stipulations. To remain eligible, your classic vehicle:
- Cannot be used for daily, general transportation.
- Should not be driven for more than 5,000 miles annually.
- Must not be used for any commercial purposes.
The good news is that your classic auto insurance allows you to enjoy your vehicle in appropriate ways. You are permitted to drive your classic for:
- Club activities and events.
- Exhibitions and shows.
- Tours and parades.
- Essential maintenance.
