This initiative supports college-bound students from Virginia Beach City Public Schools, awarding two students per high school each month. The scholarships prioritize students who demonstrate exceptional volunteer work and community service. Each selected student receives a $500 scholarship and competes for two additional $3,750 scholarships at the end of the academic year. Applicants are required to submit an essay on the importance of community contribution and their personal efforts to help others. Winning students are featured in the local newspaper, along with their chosen college or university, celebrating their achievements and inspiring their peers and schools.
