Mercedes-Benz Loveland Drives into Northern Colorado Market

The automotive landscape of Northern Colorado has shifted gears with the grand opening of Mercedes-Benz of Loveland. The highly anticipated dealership, located in the bustling Crossroads automotive complex just off I-25, east of Loveland, officially opened its doors Tuesday night, welcoming over 400 guests to celebrate its arrival.

The impressive, revamped dealership is the result of an extensive nine-month reconstruction project. The location boasts a striking glass-fronted design, transforming the former site of Ferrero Chrysler Jeep Dodge, which had been closed since 2008, into a state-of-the-art automotive retail space.

Spearheading the operations at Mercedes-Benz of Loveland is Kevin Steward, who also owns and manages Mercedes-Benz of Westminster. Trent Olinger has been appointed as the General Manager, bringing local expertise to the new venture.

“This expansion strategically positions us to better serve a region where we’ve seen increasing engagement,” stated Steward. He further emphasized the broader reach, adding, “This isn’t just about Northern Colorado; it’s about expanding our footprint into the neighboring states to the north as well.” Currently, the nearest Mercedes-Benz dealerships to the northwest and northeast are located in Salt Lake City and Rapid City, South Dakota, highlighting the strategic importance of this Loveland location.

Mercedes-Benz of Loveland joins a growing cluster of luxury automotive brands in the Crossroads area. It sits conveniently south of Co’s BMW and a short drive north of Stevinson Lexus and the soon-to-launch Rickenbaugh Infiniti dealership, solidifying the area as a premium automotive destination.

Christina Dawkins, owner of Co’s BMW, also located in the Crossroads complex, shared her positive outlook on the new neighbor. “We’re excited to see them open,” Dawkins commented. “Having a competitor in close proximity will ultimately benefit consumers and all of us in the area.” The sentiment underscores the competitive yet mutually beneficial relationship between Mercedes-Benz and BMW, two of Germany’s leading luxury car manufacturers renowned globally for their premium vehicles.

Insights from Kelley Blue Book (KBB.com) reveal interesting trends in luxury car buying demographics. According to their survey of over 13,000 U.S. adults, men are significantly more inclined to consider luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz, Lincoln, and Cadillac, while women shoppers often prioritize brands known for affordability and imports like Volvo, Honda, Acura, and Nissan. This suggests Mercedes-Benz of Loveland is well-positioned to capture the interest of a key demographic in the Northern Colorado market.

The arrival of Mercedes-Benz of Loveland signifies not only the brand’s commitment to expansion but also the continued economic growth and increasing demand for luxury vehicles in the Northern Colorado region.
