Mercedes-Benz of Loveland Opens its Doors in Northern Colorado

The burgeoning economy of Northern Colorado has welcomed a new entrant to its luxury automotive scene with the grand opening of Mercedes-Benz of Loveland. The state-of-the-art dealership, located in the Crossroads automotive complex off I-25, east of Loveland, celebrated its launch with a gala event attended by four hundred guests on Tuesday night.

The dealership is housed in a comprehensively renovated building, previously occupied by Ferrero Chrysler Jeep Dodge, which had been vacant since 2008. This nine-month reconstruction project has transformed the space into a striking, modern facility with a prominent glass frontage, befitting the prestigious Mercedes-Benz brand.

Overseeing the operations at Mercedes-Benz of Loveland is Kevin Steward, who also owns and manages Mercedes-Benz of Westminster. Trent Olinger has been appointed as the General Manager for this new Loveland location.

“This expansion is strategically important for us, providing enhanced access to a rapidly growing market in northern Colorado and neighboring states,” stated Steward. He highlighted the dealership’s advantageous geographical position, noting that the nearest Mercedes-Benz dealerships to the northwest and northeast are located further afield in Salt Lake City and Rapid City, South Dakota, respectively.

Mercedes-Benz of Loveland joins a cluster of premium automotive brands already established in the vicinity. It sits conveniently close to Co’s BMW within the Crossroads complex and is a short drive from Stevinson Lexus and the soon-to-launch Rickenbaugh Infiniti dealerships located to the north.

Christina Dawkins, owner of Co’s BMW, acknowledged the arrival of the new competitor, stating, “We’re excited to see them open. Having Mercedes-Benz of Loveland in close proximity will be beneficial for consumers and for all dealerships in the area.” The presence of both Mercedes-Benz and BMW, globally recognized German luxury car manufacturers, underscores the intensifying competition within the local luxury car market.

Insights from Kelley Blue Book (KBB.com) reveal interesting trends in car buying preferences across genders. According to their survey of over 13,000 U.S. adults, men are significantly more inclined to consider vehicles from domestic U.S. manufacturers or European luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz. Conversely, women new-car shoppers show a greater propensity towards vehicles from import automakers. The survey further indicated that brands with a long-standing heritage, including Mercedes-Benz, tend to appeal more to older male demographics compared to younger men or women. Affordability is often a key consideration for women, potentially leading them to explore brands such as Honda, Acura, and Nissan.
