However, for one owner of a 2024 Civic Type R in Virginia, this dream quickly turned into a nightmare. Just three days after driving his prized possession off the dealership lot on February 17, 2024, a commute to work took an unexpected and distressing turn.
Midway through his drive, the check engine light illuminated, accompanied by a series of error messages flashing across the dashboard. Moments later, an unsettling rattle emerged from the front of the vehicle, growing progressively louder. Looking in the rearview mirror, the driver was alarmed to see white smoke billowing from the exhaust.
